VISION STATEMENT:  Wausau:  Every Neighborhood clean, safe and connected:

MISSION STATEMENT:  N2N supports neighborhoods working to improve safety and enhance quality of life.

The Mayor's N2N Committee was established in 2004.  The Committee's purpose is to empower citizen neighborhood associations.  The city of Wausau will offer and make available tactical support and informational resources to assist the committee in achieving its goals.

MEMBERSHIP:  Five voting members to be appointed by the mayor, each to a two-year term, running concurrent with the terms of common council members.  A committee chairperson shall be appointed by the mayor and the five appointed members are to be approved by the common council.

MEETINGS:  The main N2N Meetings are not currently being held, but the individual neighborhood ones are. See below in each neighborhood group.

NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATIONS:  There are currently 11 Neighborhood Associations operating in the City of Wausau. These neighborhood groups are organized and run by the citizens who live in the area.  The overall goal of the neighborhood groups is to improve the quality of life in Wausau and their neighborhoods.  During the meetings, citizens have the opportunity to speak with their neighbors, elected officials, Wausau Police Officers and city employees.  Citizens can share their concerns, voice grievances, or ask questions.  The neighborhood group has the ability to have a unified voice to the Police Department and City Government.
